General F.A.Q

What does the NR1609 require for power?

This receiver requires 120v 60Hz. If you need a receiver with similar specifications and different power requirements, please contact us.

Should I use WiFi or hardwire an ethernet cable?

Anytime you can hardwire something, do it, especially on a yacht. When using WiFi you run the risk of having a communication error that you will not get if you are hardwired into a switch.

Does the receiver need air flow?

Yes. We strongly recommend having the receiver in a climate controlled area. Component fans are a great way to move air in a closed compartment. Feel free to contact us for suggestions and solutions.

Can I Airplay video with this receiver?

No. The receiver will Airplay music and can be joined to other Airplay zones but it will not send video over Airplay. With 8 HDMI inputs, plug an Apple TV into the receiver to get the best of all worlds. Let us know if we can help design your system.
